What is SameSame?

• Hi. We’re a new safe app with one purpose: strengthening friendships.

  Covid, social media, and binge watching made us feel a bit lonely. We’re craving feeling understood and connected. True bonds are about shared experiences, being open, discovering random stuff in common—like, we both dip chicken nuggets in peanut butter. (Wth?!) Or, we both love the Die Hard movies. (Yippeekayay.) Or, we both think Wednesdays are the best day of the week. (Obvi.) Those, “Wait. You too?!” moments that make us laugh, cry, and feel.

Ok. But what is the SameSame app?

• It’s a social trivia game. Answer fun questions, match with friends, unlock quirky stickies.

What are rlly questions about?

• Questions can range from “What do you do when someone next to you pukes?” to “My mood today as a Cheeto shape?”— kinda meaningful, kinda quirky.
• There are 11 categories of questions:

Who is in the app?

• This is an app for ppl age 13+
• We started with a handful of girls soccer teams playing together. Now, friend groups, schools, families, and other communities have piled in too.

Why do you need my birthday?

• You have to be 13+ to use this app. The content of the app is appropriate for ages 13+.

Why do you ask for my contacts?

• To make it super easy for you to add friends. There is no way to play SameSame alone. Gotta have at least one friend in there.

Who will see my name?

• People who you are friends with in SameSame (ie, you have friended them or accepted their friend request of you) and people that have mutual friends with you (ie, people you likely know and might want to friend in the app)

Why do you need to know my school?

• The aim of this app is to strengthen the relationship between you and people you know in real life. So, by noting your school, we’re able to suggest possible friends from your school
